Disinfection

Disinfection is the process of reducing the number of harmful micro-organisms and pathogens to a level at which they shall not pose a risk of infection through food, infected surfaces or objects. Disinfection is efficient only after thorough cleaning and sanitisation of all contaminated surfaces and objects.

The process

The process starts with a detailed generic and specific site risk assessment to be conducted by our qualified technician, prior to carrying out the specific treatment that is fit for the property, safely and effectively. Our pest technicians are equipped with all the requisite personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as respiratory protective equipment (RPE), highest grade disinfectants and cleaning detergents.

Next step is to isolate the area to be treated, deep clean and sanitise all potentially contaminated high-contact areas and touch-points, such as door handles, grab rails, switches, common areas, hallways and furniture, staircases, machinery and equipment (at industrial plants and manufacturing) and others. After the sanitisation process our technicians commence disinfection, using ultra low volume (ULV) fogging or surface spray with ultra-fine droplets of the disinfectant product, being able to treat large areas effectively in a short period of time. Our treatment is thorough, and covers even the difficult to access areas, all furniture or equipment. Any potentially hazardous waste are removed to avoid cross-contamination, handled meticulously and disposed of in the safest possible manner, as per all regulations and standards in waste management.

All cleaning detergents and disinfectants that we use are approved by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations in the UK. We use high level professional-use-only products with scientifically proven efficacy, without any compromise on quality.

COVID-19

In the event of confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 at your premises, our sanitising and disinfecting services are available only after the property has been evacuated for a minimum of 72 hours after reporting or confirming the case. There are scientific researches and studies that demonstrate the amount of virus on infected surfaces decreases significantly after 72 hours. We are strictly following the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the UK Government guidelines, without any compromise for our customers’ and technicians’ health and safety. In case there is no confirmed or suspected case of Covid-19 at your premises, our sanitisation and disinfection services may be available within 24 hours of your call, subject to availability.

The disinfectants we use against contamination and potentially infected premises have scientifically proven efficacy against various pathogens and virucidal activity, including enveloped viruses, such as certain human Coronavirus strains. The disinfectants we use have been tested against Adenovirus and Murine norovirus, in accordance with EN14476, the European standard for demonstrating virucidal activity of a disinfectant, against the enveloped Vaccina virus.

The virucidal activity has been tested after 5 minutes of contact under clean conditions, and has proven activity against enveloped viruses, such as certain human Coronavirus strains, Influenza virus, Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Hepatitis B and C, as well as E. Coli and Salmonella bacteria.
